Our School

Safely Anchored Small School grew organically from Safely Anchored Aftercare established in 2015 due to the growing need for quality, loving care for primary school learners in the Sunningdale area. Safely Anchored Aftercare continues to offer Aftercare services to learners from neighbouring schools.

Safely Anchored Small School now extends the same care to learners, full day, from age 4 to Grade 7. We understand during this phase, learners grow and learn exponentially. We believe learners will learn to love learning, when both the content and the care is driven with intention.

We meet our families where they are and walk alongside them in the education of our learners. We are rooted in today, knowing that there is beauty and wisdom to be found in each phase of development without rushing to reach the next. Learners will graduate from Safely Anchored Small School confident in how to learn, knowing that their foundation is securely rooted in truth and goodness.

CAPS Aligned Curriculum

We are CAPS aligned ensuring that children meet all the necessary requirements educationally with the added benefit of extra time and support given in small class groups.

Small Classes

We have one class per age group from pre-Gr R to Gr 7. Each grade will have maximum 20 learners with ample staff available for support. Small classes and relational learning cultivates an environment for each child to thrive.

Christian based

We believe that wisdom originates from God, and to pursue wisdom is to pursue God. We welcome all who chooses to become a part of The Safely Anchored family knowing that they are entering a Christian based school and that their children will be taught and led within a Christian world view. We believe that God created each child with a specific purpose, and we as educators and parents are tasked to lead them in discovering God and their purpose daily.

Qualified Teachers

Our Teachers are qualified Foundation phase and Pre-School Teachers. They are passionate about standing in the gap for parents in educating learners with support in virtue training that happens at home. You can rest assured that all staff at Safely Anchored embodies the ethos and values of our school. Teachers walk alongside parents and learners in their educational journey.

Holiday Care & Aftercare

Our school will offer Holiday Clubs between school terms included in our fees. The school will thus be open year round from 7:30 - 18:00 for all our learners. We will only be closed for the December festive season.

At Safely Anchored Small school your family and child will be known. Being a small school has the added advantage of a homely environment where learners, teachers and parents can have deep rooted relationships. This is crucial as education happens not only at school, but at home and in everyday life.
